ABOUT US

Chartered on April 26, 2024, with 36 charter members, the Clay County (FL) Alumnae Chapter will expand Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.’s “Public Service” footprint in the Clay County area of Jacksonville.

Clay County is rapidly growing, and as a result of this growth the community needs of the county has changed. The chapter chartering will provide opportunities for the organization to directly engage the residents of Clay County (FL) and introduce public service initiatives that are centered around a Five-Point Programmatic Thrust: Economic Development, Educational Development, International Awareness and Involvement, Physical and Mental Health, and Political Awareness and involvement. The new chapter reflects the mission of the sorority’s 22 Founders and will empower the community through the events and service projects that they will conduct. The charter members are looking forward to connecting with local businesses, organizations, and the public to begin to build relationships to continue to elevate Clay County (FL).
